2010 Challenge
The 2010 Border Bogie Challenge will run on Saturday May 22nd, and entries will be accepted from the 1st January 2010 onwards. More details will be published here over the coming months, but last years details should give you a fair idea of what to expect. Keep looking for updates though.
A full report on the 2009 Border Bogie Challenge will be uploaded to this site as soon as possible. We apologise for the delay in getting it to you.
Camping and Caravaning
Wild camping is available free on flat grass beside the beautiful River Teviot only a short walk from the green, the event and local pubs, etc. Alternatively, if you're looking for a little more comfort, the Riverside Caravan Park is only a mile away
STOP PRESS:
The Border Bogie Challenge draws ever closer and entries are pouring in. To be certain of running, make sure your entry form and fee (£15.00 for adults and £5.00 for children) are returned to us by Saturday the 15th of May. Remember entries for the event are taken on a first come first serve basis. Adult entries are capped at 30 and 20 for the Childrens section.
The Running Order:
The Days events will start with scrutineering on the Denholm villiage green between 9 and 10am. A Bogie parade will follow to the start of the childrens section. The childrens race will begin around 10.30am. The Adult racing will start at 12.00 prompt. After the days' racing, everyone will make their way back to the villiage green for the prize-giving and light refreshment. On Saturday evening there will be live entertainment at the Denholm Meet Bar where evening meals will be served. There are also two pubs on the green, both of which serve a wide selection of real ales and home cooked food.
